Thought I'd send some more pics of Amber (photo in Gallery) for you now that she'll be six months old soon. As you can see, she's already won rosettes from a competition at her puppy training class - 1st in her class, and Best Progress Overall for both classes of dogs. She is moving up a class next week and will be training with older dogs, as she is just too clever to be in with the little puppies now!! She really does have it all - beauty, brains and a lovely personality - not that I'm biased or anything!! Seriously, we couldn't have asked for a better dog. She is just an absolute dream. She is a real soft lump and loves everybody. I am really proud of her as she has helped a couple of kids I childmind to overcome a fear of dogs. Amber's very laid back. In fact she can be quite lazy when it comes to going out for walks. She's fine once she's out, but sometimes she just doesn't want to move off the sofa - she does like her home comforts. She enjoys playing with her toys though, and likes nothing better than a good bit of rough play with her doggy friends. Anyway, we just can't imagine life without her in it any more - the house just wouldn't be the same.
UPDATE:
... Amber has matured into a lovely dog. Many people still comment on her good looks! We are still going to training classes and she has recently passed the bronze level of the Kennel Club's Good Citizen Dog scheme. We will be beginning to work towards the silver level in 2008. Going to the training classes has been brilliant, as I have made new friends, and Amber now has lots of doggy pals too. Sometimes we all meet up and go for a three-hour hike along the coast. I'm very proud of Amber - she is an absolute joy to have around and I love our long walks together. I can't even begin to tell you how much pleasure she has brought to our lives.
